Safeguarding Children and Young People

This three-hour course is designed to provide an essential overview of safeguarding children and young people, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to potential safeguarding concerns. The course is suitable for professionals working in education, healthcare, social services, and other settings where they may encounter vulnerable children and young people.

COURSE CONTENT

    • Roles and responsibilities​

  • Recognising and responding to concerns

  • Making judgements, communication and sharing of information

  • Responding to disclosure

  • Reporting your concerns 

COURSE DURATION

​

A minimum of 3 contact hours in the classroom, consisting of theoretical activities. 

​

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

Further competence in the workplace must be assessed.

​​

CERTIFICATION
Your trainer/assessor will be responsible for determining whether you pass or fail.

​

EXPIRATION 

Guidelines recommend that this qualification is refreshed annually. 

​

​NUMBERS

A maximum of 16 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

We are able to deliver this course at your premises for a minimum of 6 learners, please contact us for a price.
